An interesting and fun game to play, no real story line but it does well without it and the game play more than makes up for it. Graphically speaking it is made of sprites but they do respond well and its system is responsive to how quickly, or slowly it runs. A very noticeable feature I liked as well as the small menu and easy accessibility. The style of it was a good and fun and quick paced action with little purpose, but still good. Personally I liked the whole idea and its Matrix film as I liked the movies as well. The sound effects and music were likable and didn’t disturb the game play but didn’t really improve it either. It was however fun to work a bit on breaking every single floor tile in 4 floors so that hardly any one reaches you and you can enjoy the music playing around. Violence gets a perfect ten simply because all you do in this game is kill, damage and throw things. It sounds cave man like simple, but is actually a lot of fun as new weapons are revealed and so on. Interactivity was by far my favorite part, the floors crash, weapons run out, occasional health, dropping down on some one or being dropped on does hurt, and it kept astonishing me how every things was weapon, absolutely everything. Well, except the floor tiles, which would have been interesting to see those used as weapons. It was even funny in its own way of throwing agents off buildings and stuff, I do however must ask, how come the Staff has more HP than the Katana? Just doesn’t make sense to me, but any way, it was an original piece as I saw nothing else like this before, must have taken considerable effort and it was diverse all through out the game play. Overall I’d say it’s a great game, keep it up. Minor advice is surprisingly a small tip to increase the weapon HP and number of weapons, I often found myself just using the staff. Making floor tiles into weapons would also be refreshing.
Now if I may I’ll move on to the more casually ordinary description:
Graphics: 9, Animation and drawings are all sprites and while usually I’d find it obstructing in a game and making a bit less than it could be, this game worked very well in that form and didn’t seem to miss any options it could have had in any other forms, it worked just fine and I’m glad you used the style, the interactivity it brought along with it makes up for any disadvantage using sprites could have possibly had.
Style : 9, A simple yet fun action game which revolves simply out of beating the crap out of anything around you. It’s a simple way to play but it can be perfected and with the increasing levels hardly ever gets boring. It would be interesting to use bullet time in here as well. You know, just to complete the whole Matrix theme. Nothing is fully Matrix without bullet time.
Sound: 8, Music wasn’t bad but it was very tuned down during the game play so if you wanted to get into the game’s state of mind it just won’t work because it’s pretty weak. In the menu I can hear it but in the menu I don’t need, small tip, louder volume during game play.
Violence: 10, Kill with desks, chairs, lamps, antennas, swords and sticks…Let’s see now, family fit? Nah…Children only? Perhaps.. Violent fun game only for the blood thirsty, correct. I’ve never had more fun throwing men in suits over roof edges and shooting them multiple times in the head.
Interactivity : 9, Every part of the environment was destructible and lots of weapons to get with or without killing those agents. There is actually very little that could be added there but I always wanted to toss a piece of the floor at some one, make it happen...
Humor: 9, I went up to the roof and tossed a desk at some one, that knocked him off the ledge, do I need to say more about humor? The only thing I would add is Agent and Neo voices to narrate once in a while.
Overall: 9, In general I have to say it’s a great and fun game to play and it kept me going for quite some time. Every thing I did think needs improving is listed above and I’m beginning to run out of characters to write this so I’ll brief it up, I sure hope you keep it up.

Let me start off saying how damn original this game is, much like Lego Star Wars, Lego makes just about any genre and anything, more fun. It is very satisfying to shoot Lego zombies on a Lego field with a Lego hero. The speed and movement of all the animation was just fine and worked well. It was intuitive and convenient. The actual game play was very good, excluding one itty bitty problem with it. While the different array of weapons is very nice, shooting in any way that wasn’t straight forward, back or to the sides ( by that I mean diagonal ) was usually more frustrating. The background sounds were will fitted and matched well enough to compliment the game. Even though it is a Zombie killing Lego game, it is still a pretty violent one. The firing of all the different weapons in addition to the blood make it an officially violent game, it would be nice if gore was optional for the sake of younger players. As for the game’s interactivity, control was simple and weapons selection simple and effective. Humor in this game is usually self induced such as blocking zombies into a maze or blockade with a dead end, all those are a lot of fun as well as just smashing the lot of them with a Shotgun. Overall the game is quite addictive and fun to play, but not flawless as I am about to mention.
Despite all its upsides this game has some things I suggest are improved, firstly is the gore on/off option. This would be a nice feature should a small child stumble upon the game just take it as a Lego shooter. Gore on/off options would also widen your audience by your ranking of age to the game which should drop. Next is the dying, while usually hard to avoid once in a while you do die. When a zombie touches you with his attack or from explosion, but the pity here is that we don’t know how far to stay because we have no knowledge about the distance we need to keep, so a health or distance meter would be nice. Other than those the game is quite good. I hope you do manage the time to pay attention to some of these.
And now for a more detailed description on every part of game and its parts:
Graphics: 9, Pretty much every thing I could see was made in 3D, another characteristic of the game, is indeed 3D. The animations were smooth fluent and didn’t lag any time I could notice. It might take a bit more effort in that that are of you but if it could be possible to make the character rotate 360 degrees because aiming and shooting is a but clumsy right now.
Style: 9, A zombie shooting game, made quite well but no plot, and personally I think even the smallest most cheesy plot would be a nice addition to know why are we shooting zombies and stuff like that. Even though that really didn’t handicap the game play it would be nice to have.
Sound: 8, sounds are moderate and with no music during the game play but the sounds are satisfying enough with the sounds. At least every weapon had its own sounds and so did the zombies. Though a couple variations of a zombie voice would be interesting to have. I think that different sounds would give the game a needed touch of some realism.
Violence: 10, Well we are shooting the undead with a wide variety of party weapons from pistols to rail guns…What I think you could use in this game is the one thing you utterly lack, melee weapons, a bat, a chain saw, a pipe, and flail, anything would be nice. I would also love to see some more rare parts in the game that may already exist for all I know but I never found them, by that I mean more divine powers, like invincibility for a duration or an evolution of a weapon ( I.E: Shot gun + ~ point, would create a double shot gun, a flake shot gun, and so on. ).
Interactivity: 9, control was fine, level selection satisfying and offered a wide variety to experiment with. However new kinds of zombies harder to kill would make for a nice touch.
Humor: 9, I laughed when creating the zombies mazes to go through to get to me, then putting a dead end when the finally made it. Self induced humor…Win.
Overall: 9, Some suggestions are acceptable, hope you can improve it more.
Author's Response:
Wow, an even longer review. Thank you for reveiwing the game. I like your point about shooting in all directions, this is difficult unless:
1. You use the mouse as the main contrl
2. or you use a rotation based control system.
Trouble for most people that they are both harder to control.
Music is coming I hope. And more maze like action in the next version Boxhead: More rooms!
Thanks again,
Sean

The resemblance to other things here is seen mostly in two things: The creation vs. creator battle using the Flash options and tools like in "Animator vs. Animation". But the way it was done just reminded me of the movie "Army of darkness" so much... I believe you saw it as well because there is a scene filled with miniature versions of the hero who attack him. I think the movie is great and I'd love to make suggestions but I simply have none for this because for it's genre it's flawless in my view. Good job, and if you ever make a flash directly based on "Army of darkness", let me know.
Author's Response:
actually no, i didnt see army of darkness. though i am a fan of this zombie type movies, i love the movie BRAIN DEAD (Dead Alive) but i kinda imagined this to be more of a Gulliver's Travels thing... the animation vs. animator, yea i can see how people find the similarities but no matter how fake it sounds i was actually already animating the guy jump into my face when i saw that toon in the portal XD seriouse.

A great game in virtually every aspect, for walk through, Berder’s is the most useful I saw. So I’ll simply review the actual game, visually speaking most of the motion was realistic enough, it looked normal considering it’s pretty damn hard to draw and animate so much details, and it’s hard to capture human motion well enough. But beside that it seemed like The suffering meets Doom, in a flash version. Even though it was easier. Gladly loosing isn’t really possible for all I could see. I’m just wondering why wouldn’t the prisoner comb the beast…The background music was alright but nothing that gets you into that state of mind really. The voices were fine, but the acting was more or less a disaster…I just wasn’t convinced by anything any one said. A sane person wouldn’t really care if a box of matches belongs to some one when there is a large beast walking around eating people. But the clean hand thing was funny, I really wanted to freak the guard out by waving the hand instead of slapping him, but oh well. Interactivity had all the things I like usually, like talking about random objects that have nothing to do with anything, like soaping other prisoners and stuff. Violence was hardly even there…Oh wait, yes it was, actually it’s the main theme here. Lots of blood shed and insane acts, gruesome sights, but only if you are one of those people who have a problem with blood. I actually think the only time the violence was pushed more than usual, was with the guards head as a ceiling in the control room, the rest seemed average. Humor is there and it doesn’t take long to find it either: “Pick up mutilated guard”, “Which part”. Though I think leaving the hand on the first guard that was chopped would be smarter. Diversity Originality…Well if the prisoner was the beast, this would be “The Suffering”. But since it’s in flash, I have to give you credit for making minor efforts, minor, on changing the outline. And generally, an extended story line, perhaps not so much copied, a couple new jokes and better acting and this well be much better. Still a good game that deserves its position, congratulations.
Now for stats and stuff:
Graphics: 9, Well the drawings and animation did look well there was a bit of problems for me with the motion, it just didn’t seem that real, I’m not expecting it to be phenomenal, but I did expect a bit more than it was.
Style: 6, A point and click role playing game, a rather short one at that. To be honest too much of it just felt like it was copied from licensed games and glued back in a flash version. Originality is quite lacking but a bit of creative writing and plot twists of your own wouldn’t hurt. Just that now it follows the plot of the game all too much.
Sound: 7, The background music was good, though not the most fitting for what is supposed to project some feeling of terror. It just didn’t get me into the state of mind of fear at all. An increasing pace in music speed and volume usually helps develop that feeling, take that under consideration if you will.
Violence: 10, Not something you want to let the kids play in. especially with the after questions and nightmares…Just an average violent game as the prison way of presenting a sarcastic figure trying to escape against all odds, the known cliché.
Interactivity: 8, it had the options I usually like from this sort of game, which is interacting with things and people who are really of no use or purpose except for the fun of it. I mean, what’s funnier than commanding a prisoner to soap up a large beast chewing on some dude.
Humor: 9, As I said before, the sarcasm thing can be found quickly and easily in this game, and while the writing wasn’t that bad, the acting was pretty crappy really, contact the union :-P
Overall: 10, good game, may not sound too much like it by my review, but I do in fact like it and only had a couple suggestions on how to improve it. I enjoyed playing it for those brief 6 minutes and I hope you continue and make more and hopefully better games in the near future.

A very fun short game to play with somewhat of a story line to keep us busy. An interesting theme for a game, and while not new, still pretty innovative. The whole idea of medieval times surgery game hasn’t been too well known till now. Though I’d like it with a much more modern twist as well. But then again that might actually require some understanding in medicine unlike here where since we don’t know, we don’t care. The game is very well animated, though the garlic slots in level 3 were a bit hard to see, hard enough to see that at some point I tried shoving them down his throat. Which didn’t seem to work till I saw the slots. But the game was very fun overall and a lovely way to spend time. Visually a great game, effects are good looking and still animated enough to not freak you out, though if possible a super gory option would be great fun. I do wonder about another version of it in different ages. Sounds were decent, nothing much but enough to make it sort of real. The game play itself was very good, all of the different actions and what not, and it was explained how in the beginning as well so it’s alright. Violence is minor because it’s supposed to have a medical purpose, but it’s still cutting into some one’s neck and using an axe on some one…A bit of humor I suppose, the notes before each operation had a tone of let’s say, less seriousness. Diverse for a game of its genre, original because of the time frame and generally very good. I hope to see more games of this kind and with many more options that I’ll bring up now: Firstly the medieval times was the major characteristic of the game and its measures, but a different time slot, all the way from that era to modern times would be very interesting to play. Then there is the idea of small mini games in between, such as, remove the arrow without it touching the sides of the wound with your mouse, or all things of that kind. It would also be good to see options we can use and not a linier path. Like the use of different instruments, but only one would work properly to succeed the operation and stuff like that. Nice work putting the disclaimer thing at the start, some people really don’t know better.
And now I’ll expand simply on the game’s technical features:
Graphics: 9, A visually great game. The effects are quite good and the animation solid. It felt real enough in most parts except for the stitching, it just seems like poking him in a zig zag motion. Maybe a little bit of work would be nice on that part, just a little more skin visibility that would make it feel like stitches.
Style: 8, a worthy gadget game, I like operations and stuff like that. The time frame it was done in did make it look a bit more different than the rest. Though more levels and options as I suggested before would be lovely.
Sound: 8, Decent sound effects and music as well. It seemed a bit odd at times but I managed to work with it.
Violence: 6, Of course there was some because the whole game is of medical point of view. But there was no intent to cause harm or anything so as far as I’m concerned it’s perfectly suitable.
Interactivity: 7, A lot of different things to do over the course of the game but some new features would be a nice change. Like what I said about different tool possibilities and something that requires some skill with a mouse or crap like that. Just to burn time. By the way, the leeches I found were a bit not realistic, burning them and then removing them would have been much more convincing in my opinion.
Humor: 7, The notes, especially the last one, were rather humorous. But screwing up an operation makes me laugh every single time. Sort of a: “I sliced your neck, my mistake”.
Overall: 9, In general there might be a thing or two that are possible to improve but the game is innovative, original and interesting for its gadget/medical genre. Some changes, more specifically in the category of operation missions, the instruments and their way of use would all contribute to improving the game even further as well as different time frames. Still, hell of a job…

It’s been ages since I last played this game, but I do remember working hard for days on end just beat everything I could. And it was incredibly fun, and energy draining. It’s too bad that to this day I never saw another more developed version of this but it had always been a great drag racing game. In a genre where most games even similar to this one cost a whole lot of money or at least sure aren’t free. The most interesting to me being the Tuner mode where like millions other I worked for so long just to get all the best gear and what not. It’s a terrific game and a lot of fun to play for any amount of time. Visually it’s pretty good with a very visible improvement compared to Drag Racer 2. The animation is better and the menus to buying and selection are all better, as well as the quality during races. I’ll have to say sometimes this is a bit frustrating to get certain amounts to buy the very best things but then still lose. It takes quite some practice at times. There are other drag sims out there but I for one think this is the very best among them. At least the ones that are made with flash and cost us no money. The sound effects and all fitted just fine, there is little attention to music and that while you are busy planning what to buy or race next. Violence as a category is pointless here, moving on. Interactivity, the full control over every detail of the car that the AVERAGE person would like to mess with, I never liked messing around with definitions of suspensions, soft shifts, hard shifts and all of that rubbish, this game lets me choose what I want in my car with the reasonable motion that the more expensive something, it’s better. Much like reality. There is no complaining here, it had everything I wanted and nothing more. Humor has little place here as well, sadly enough. I could suggest what many professionals do which is make a part that looks goofy but is actually the best and costs an insane price. You won’t see this because it’s been 2 years and no one really checks this but I need a big 400th review so I’m still gonna suggest it. For example, a front spoiler with the shape of a bulldozer will cost as much as a car and will actually be the fastest. Wouldn’t you say that is at least an attempt in humor? Still, I’m satisfied with the game as it is but for the sake of the category… But generally this is an exquisite racing game. If a fourth one were to come out at some point in history, I’d suggest camera angels, like from inside the driver seat or the other person’s car, just a random cute addition.
And once more, to the stats:
Graphics: 10, Graphically speaking the game was excellent. The drawings of all the many cars looked nearly prize worthy and the animation, at least as far as I could tell was as realistic and beautiful as a flash game can be.
Style: 9, A game with many options to play in including arcade for one time swift player and tuner for the hardcore persistent like an ass type who will keep playing until they have it all, like myself. A great game for a great genre.
Sound: 8, background sounds were fitted and sounded well, it wasn’t distracting or anything, nor was intruding, sure songs would have helped the mood but the problem here would be one of licenses and permits. But there is free available music right here on the NG audio portal free for public use and even encouraging it and I’m positive there are good driving songs and beats there. I’d like to suggest those, even though no one will ever bother with it.
Violence: 0, None.
Interactivity: 9, It had the options to as you like with your car without getting into micro managing and annoying details that are of no use that only spoil the whole thing. I could buy whatever part I wanted simply knowing the better parts cost more. Even those few things got annoying at a couple times. All those folders and clicking just got a bit too much, but I handled it.
Humor: 0, There could have been some effort put into this for some amusement but alas.
Overall: 9 very good game, aged nicely.
P.S: Love the company name you have there ;-)

"I’m a bit late, about 3 years late, but why not…Aw"
Well I’d like to first explain myself and why I chose to review this and now. This movie is one of the very few in NG that has the word love in the title, and it’s about that theme. This flash, despite being much more popular about 3 years maintained good graphics even for today’s standards and the same deep meaning it had back then. It was a movie with some message to put out, no matter how it was expressed, it was. I am no one to give any one, much less you advice on self improvement, so I’ll just critic… Visually speaking it was the same style you followed all these years, a cartoon like, simple form of drawing and animation, and yet so life like mostly in the form of movement. The plot was most interesting for me because of its realistic value. The point that Wink (who is a great character) was willing to do just about to anything to please whoever she was, but when it came down to doing those things, not only did he not hesitate, but he out ran more obstacles than most people would for anything. This is merely a flash, but its impact on human values is inescapable. The sounds were that of the music in the background and the sound effects of things in the movie, for example, Wink. I thought it was more than I could as for and it’s all the movie could possibly need. The stealth like music was terrific to me. Violence was as discrete and kept to a minimum as I had ever seen, Just a strangled guard and on knocked out by a poll really... So that’s nothing too much, if anything it should be a required standard to have at least 2 injured in every movie. I liked the whole idea of clicking things for outfits on the loader, by myself I only found 4 but that’s beside the point. The play button was all that was needed really since the movie is short and there is no need for any fancy additions on it, this is one of those cases where things stay best when they are simple. It was of course funny. Not in a manner of laughing my ass off at every second, but more of a good grin by the flash’s meaning especially at the end. The bit of Wink banging his head against the ground as he sees she finds the flower sufficient did bring a grin to me. In general there is nothing to add to this even though it’s been a good 3 years since. I’d say keep it up, but you already did…
Moving on now to the statistics and ongoing waste of review space. I guess this is why so many of those blasted 2 line reviewers find mine “un helpful”, because I actually make valid points and take the time to make them. Eh, screw em’.
Graphics: 8, Sure, it’s gotten old by now, but it’s a historical piece none the less. The drawings and animation have remained solid and of high quality from then and till now.
Style: 9, As I said before, the plot is a great one, I really like the theme and what it meant. It’s likely you didn’t even think of it this when you made it, but is it that it meant that no matter how much we think we must do to impress another, it’s really only the thought that counts?
Sound: 7, great stealth like music through out the whole movie, excluding the bits of the action beat. That and the sounds of Wink’s…“voice” made it fit in very well. Considering you made all of the above sounds I can only compliment a job well done.
Violence: 6, For the average gory movie it was mild to say the least. No descriptions of violent acts per say but merely the suggestion of them.
Interactivity: 7, A dress up game at the loader screen that of course has a few hidden parts in it that can be found through out the movie and I found it was all the movie needed. On a movie like this there is just an overall feel that all it really needs is to keep it simple, and it successfully did.
Humor: 9, A couple funny bits made for a slight comic relief. It wasn’t much but it was there. The part where Wink is busted and has to run is supposed to be funny but since we are all focused on thinking what’s he going to do next, we don’t notice the comic value of it. The flower joke on the other being at the end caught our attention.
Overall: 10, Great job, all the rest is noted above.

Surprisingly Xiayohen Said a lot of things I planned to say as well, but I won’t let that hold me back. But to him I must say, hell of a review.
Now, the game itself was beyond the definition of beauty. My only suggestions for the game are difficulty levels and checkpoints more through out the level, because by level 4, it’s rather hard just to get past the darn level. The reason I ask for these is because I utterly suck at this game. People who are as clumsy and useless as me need difficulty settings that will help get through an annoying level or if it’s hard to fight with a slow computer and just in my case a dysfunctional internet connection. You could always mock the ones who need it by calling the difficulties much like they did in Doom back in the day, (Wimp, Peasant, Baron, etc…). I found the game excellent, but so frustrating. I for one couldn’t finish it. And won’t bother trying because it’s way too much bloody work. A game is supposed to be challenging, but never to the point of impossible to pass unless the player chooses so. I’d also like to join the number of people who like me rant about the auto change of weapons in mid game. I want pressing the S key actually meaning something, I want to see that if I chose to use a Scythe or claws, I can use as much as I want, and not complete a combo just to go back to the scrappy sword I start out with despite the possibility to buy cigarette or sword fish and cats and what not, I’d prefer to stick to what I choose. What point is there to changing weapons by a key when they choose when to change themselves? Making the weapon changes permanent until the player, the person for whom the game was made for chooses otherwise is recommended. So in conclusion of suggestions, there is much to work on to improve this game into being player friendly but for most of its ingredients it’s pretty good.
Now for the game’s complete statistics:
Graphics: 10, Beautifully drawn and animated. All the drawings were incredible and very detailed. The animation was very smooth and fluent. The visuals of the game are great in every aspect.
Style: 10, The plot was beautiful. Every medieval hack and slash out there has a huge revolving plot around it ( especially ones like Diablo ), but a knight fighting innocent people he thinks are enemies because he had a lot of ”shrooms”. I thought the plot was hilarious, I wish more plots were like that.
Sound: 9, the background sounds and music were all very good. The hacking noises is what you hear mostly through out the game, the thing that troubled me a bit is how repetitive the sounds are. If it’s realistic sounds you are after hear, every weapon would sound differently when hitting different things. And is it even possible to break the mail box?
Violence: 10 hacking and slashing through everything that moves and some things that don’t, a huge cough full of blood with every little hit, which by the way got a bit annoying because after you get hit once and more enemies show up it’s like some sort of paralyses you can’t escape. My keyboard (which by the way now lies in ruins) stopped working for a second and I’m dead because four more bastards showed up and I can’t fight back.
Interactivity: 8 All of my suggestions mentioned above would really help. The option of re starting levels and bosses for a symbolic fee is good, but I’m most bothered with the fact that weapons choose when to change despite your wishes. That really should be fixed into a setting where number buttons choose weapons, and stay that way until I choose otherwise.
Humor: 9 The actual plot line is very funny, it’s not a knight saving some one, or on a journey or kill some one, it’s just a knight (or is it Baron) high on mushrooms and set out to kill everything it sees. The drawings at the end of every level that I’ve seen, including the you lost screen, were all funny descriptions like cleaning up the mess of all the killing and things that just make you laugh.
Overall: 10 In general the game is spectacular but some things I didn’t some things I expended on that before.
Author's Response:
thanks for you awesome and detailed review.the auto-switching weapon is definitely a love it or hate it mechanic. it was experimental, and not something you usually see in a brawler. basicly we were going with the opposite effect here.. normally a brawler makes it very hard to combo, we made that somewhat easy, and even reward you still.. .. we wanted people to use simple tactics againts bosses, that required you *NOT* to combo.. its kinda of braintease, because you have to go against what you think is easy to win.. alot of the bosses are weaker against certain weapons, and you as the player must ask yourself " do I stop this combo, and quickly kill this boss? or maintain this combo for more points and coin, thus opening myself to a counter attack?" but yeah like I said, that was never straightfoward and obvious, but thats what we were experimenting with.
thanks for you crits tho! they are very much appreciated

I’ll start by congratulating you on the daily award which you rightfully earned. And now to proceed to the actual movie, the writing was quite funny. It wasn’t sophisticated or anything but it didn’t have to be because we like superficial pointless violence and humor and as Stamper said so wisely once, cock jokes. The animation and drawings were quite good. Nothing too incredible but visibly good. It wasn’t spectacular but definitely good enough to get the point out without damaging the film’s quality. The animation was also good on its own. The comic style was very good in my opinion. The jokes were funny and the little remarks on the walls and what not were only adding to it like Easter eggs. I enjoyed the “blue is good” one and the “Penis & the other thing”. As for the sounds, it was good but I must say I felt too much static myself while hearing it. Most voices were very good but the static that was heard in the background was a bit intruding. The pointless violence was helpful. The beaten wife that was beaten to a pulp and claimed to have fallen is great, but not as great as the huge father of the small kid who shoved the alien that phone, or the surgeon who ended up replacing the beaten wife, under rifle threats of course. It was original. After all excluding the smurfs I’ve never seen anything with a theme of only blue people. And I bet the smurfs weren’t as violent. What’s not so original is the idea of those smurfs living in suburban areas, but that’s ok. The movie was quite diverse, several happening and developing at the same time and place. The effort is seen to be great. What I do suggest you add is in the interactivity field. I’d suggest several things, including a seek, mostly because this is a pretty long film and the possibility to stop, rewind, fast forward and play are vital for such length. The movies the Super Flash Bros make is not much longer and they provide with all of those because with a movie that long there is really a problem if you missed a part and want to see it again. The quality can be changed manually but it would be gracious to provide with that option yourself. If not the more complicated seek to help ease some things like missed scenes or just wanting to see one part again, then at lease a scene select, and sub titles. But overall, it’s a great movie and I congratulate you for a job well done.
After that general overview we move on the more pure, more annoying and more pointless statistics:
Graphics: 9, The animation and visuals were all above average, I’d say the level of the flash is great, it could be improved, so could anything, but in this case it’s not necessary.
Style: 10 Just a violent random and funny flash There is a plot, but for once, it’s not a long epic legendary plot but a simple one that’s fun to watch.
Sound: 9 The voices and the writing were both very good but I would say there is some static in the background when they talk which bothers a bit to the whole thing. Though that could be fixed quite easily.
Violence: 9, Some people will call it brutal pointless violence, and what we like about it, as that they are right.
Interactivity: 5, I saw a play and replay button. But that just doesn’t seem like enough. A scene selection or better yet a seek with the options of any media player would come in very handy. So would a quality button and sub titles, there are all not a must, but they will sure be of great help to some. Like a quality button would be helpful to those with the worse computer or a work computer…It’s understandable you don’t have to add any of these options although I think they would bring improvement to any movie. If the sound division is the problem. I’ll direct you once more to what the Super Flash Bros did which was dividing the sound into bits and playing them one at a time. This makes stop and play buttons and synching a bit less accurate, but it’s better than watching half a movie all over again just to see a part you wanted to see and missed.
Humor: 10, Well done and funny writing and animation.
Overall: 10, Minor improvment needed...
Author's Response:
Thanks for the detailed review I agree it should have had a seek option, but I was incredibly lazy after all the problems I had making it work. I will place one on the next one and maybe chapter selections as well. Again thanks for the review.

Very lovely, humorous and entertaining short film. I really enjoyed watching every bit of it. Animated with Frame by Frame animation it was smooth and fluent, the style was a simple chaotic random story about people fighting from no where and for no reason. In this time of a swarm of epic tales and story lines that took years to make, it’s nice to see a simple random fight. It’s a refreshing change, and it’s still animated well, reminded me of Johnny Rocketfingers a bit, at least in the animation. The graphics were quite impressive for its genre, very smooth, comprehendible, the sounds were a bit abrupt. They seem to get cut out more often than fade out appropriately. A bit more work there couldn’t hurt. Interactivity had all I needed for one, a play button. But I do think a quality button would help for some. As well as a seek would be an interesting addition, this being FBF, it would be nice to give the viewers the possibility of seeing every frame individually, this would of course eliminate the sound at that condition, but a seek on its own shouldn’t. The fighting was at every free second and welcome. Just lots of punching and kicking, a bit of stabbing as well. But still tastefully done. Humor as I said was of course present, even if the humor is a bit more on the peculiar side I still enjoyed it. For example the cutting out of the belly at first which started the whole thing, and at the end the peaceful way the all become friends or whatever, as well as how they fought over each other’s stuff. It wasn’t dull during the movie, it was way too rapid to be boring, things changed quickly enough to prevent that. The originality is medium, because I don’t know if I ever saw something with the same motive before, but the random FBF fights are far from new. It being FBF it’s obviously hard to make, so I appreciate the effort this must have taken, and again brink up the idea of a seek and frame switch button to make people see how each frame took place. Creator’s notes would be nice too, even if you have nothing to say. And overall, a very good short movie that deserved today’s spot as daily feature, congratulations on that by the way.
Now for the more pure statistics and more waste of characters in the review space:
Graphics: 9, Very well animated and drawn. Smooth FBF and good effects to make it as realistic as possible for this genre. Definitely very good.
Style: 7, As I mentioned before, a refreshing change from today’s belief that every story must be huge and epic and tell the details of just about every damn thing. I believe it’s something we all needed at this point.
Sound: 6, The sound effects were good but they always felt to be cut out in the end. I suggest changing that into a fade out option because when a punch sound is so abrupt, it just feels too fake.
Violence: 9, Nothing to complain about, all of the pointless violence we all know and love.
Interactivity: 4, A play button. Which is nice, but I do suggest a seek, quality button and maybe a way to view each frame on its own. Might be interesting...
Humor: 8, the funniest thing is the actual fight and how it takes place, as it should. Good job. I loved the jet pack bit.
Diversity: 8, With all the random changes and new things it didn’t have time to be boring, so that’s good.
Originality: 5, Average, nothing out of the ordinary, but not an utter cliché either. Sure the idea of sticks fighting has been done to death, but any twist is appreciated. This had a newer theme of sticks fighting for hats, and dismembered pieces become new people. Eh, no one has to understand it any way.
Effort: 9, FBF is just the type of genre that takes a lot of work, it takes an immense amount of patience and dedication to the film.
Overall: 9, Good work on the movie, my suggestions are simply to fade out the sound, to add a seek button to view any part of the movie at any time. To add a quality button, for the few poor people out there who have dial up. And to try and create a frame changer so the whole thing can be viewed one frame at a time if any one felt like it. Done.
